Animals

Rabbits are herbivores they eat only plants like carrots, cabbage, and they also eat dried fruit. Their body is covered with fluffy fur that are long or short. Their habitat is in the forests, grasslands, burrows, or underground tunnels but if you have them as your pet they will live in a cage. For them to survive they need lots of attention from their owners of people. Did you know that more than half of rabbits in the world live in North America.


Birds are herbivores and they eat mostly seeds, worms, apples and fruit. But there are other types of birds like ones that eat fish like pelicans and ones that eat plants. Some birds live in a cage like domestic birds and other birds live in trees, beaches, forest, marshes, grasslands, and estuaries. Birds are covered with different colored feathers like brown, white, grey, and red. Bird need to survive by being put outside for fresh air if you have them as a pet and other birds need to eat and hunt. Fact birds are warm blooded and have over 10,000 species worldwide.


All dogs have fluffy fur coated all over them head to toe. Dogs are Carnivores they meat, dog biscuits, and canned dog food. Many usually live in a kennel outside or some in a cage inside. They need to survive by being taken to walks outside and groomed with a brush. Did you know a dogs smell is estimated around 10,000 stronger than humans sense of smell.


Pet fishes eat fish pellets, flakes, and other fish eat worms, crustaceans, and smaller fish. Fishes live in a variety of places like coral reefs, kelp forests, river, streams, lakes, ponds, under sea ice, deep waters, rocky shores, brackish water, and salt water. But if you have a pet fish they would probably live in a fish tank or a bowl. Fish are mostly covered with scales from their head to their fin. For pet fishes they need a clean a fresh tank that needs to be refilled. Did you know that fish are omnivores they eat meat and plants. Did you also know that their are over 30,000 species of fish.
